K-12 Wellness Awareness Week
Term 1, Week 6, 2022
The week allows everyone at the College to be reminded about the importance of moments of stillness and at times, slowing down the pace of ever-increasing commitments and looking after each other and ourselves. The awareness week supplements the ongoing, daily wellbeing initiatives permeated throughout each school day at ̨UUApp K-12.
On the Primary campus, K-6 classes are involved in expressing daily affirmations, enjoy morning fitness routines, participate in Making Jesus Real virtue lessons, delight in the fun of daily ‘Just Dance’ sessions and communicate their questions about the world through Primary Class shared discussion sessions.
On the Secondary campus activities such as Wellbeing on Wednesday (WOW), Pastoral Care Sessions, Daily Homeroom, Inter-house activities, Retreats, mediation sessions, extra-curricular activities and a range of other services provide students with a vast array of opportunities to look after their own wellbeing.
