Triathlon 2023
On Thursday, 2 November, 85 Triathletes (13 Individuals and 25 Teams) from the College across Years 7 to 11 competed under mid-summer conditions with temperatures rising above 35'C at Champion Lakes.
Best results on the day:
Female Novice - Rafaela Thomson placed 1st
Female Novice - Maya Deery place 4th
Year 11 Boys Team - Sam Zollner, Nicholas O’Keefe and Flynn James placed 4th
Year 9 Girls Team - Elidh Milne, Sabina Jorek and Isla Emmerson placed 6th
Y11 Girls Team - Keely Bull, Annette Craven and Isabella Alves-Veira placed 8th
A special mention to:
Kaia Maloney who swam very strongly for his boys' team
Cody Ralston for doing a double leg when their runner pulled out
Cooper Cox ran a great final solo leg, late in the day
The Novice Boys Squad led by Oliver LeFort & Aiden Evans, had 5 finish in the Top 20.
We are proud of all Students and staff for their Commitment to preparing for this competition. They demonstrated College values of being 'Outstanding for Others' with our Triathletes supporting each other with Compassion and having the Courage to step in to fill gaps throughout the event.
'Thank You' to Mr Green for coordinating the huge ̨ž³UUApp Team, along with Maths staff for helping check and load all the bikes. Thank you to the PE, D&T and maintenance staff for organising equipment and the Swim Squad Staff for monitoring swimmers.
