Welcome Back!
A Message From the Head Boy and Head Girl
Hello, we are Sabina and Emmanuel, your Head Girl and Head Boy in 2022.
We’re so excited to see everyone returning to the College and ready to conquer another school year!
We’re sure the coming year will be like no other we’ve ever seen before - in particular, the commencement of the College as a K-12 school!
As Head Boy and Head Girl for 2022, we look forward to leading and guiding the Corpus community through this journey and hope to make this year memorable for all.
To start this welcome message, we would first like to welcome all new members of the Corpus community, particularly new students, new staff, new families, and especially Mr Allen!
Looking at the year ahead, we can’t wait to meet and get to know as many of you as we can . We understand that the start of the school year can be quite nerve racking for many reasons and aim to maintain a safe, comfortable, and positive learning environment at all times.
We urge that all students at the College work to maintain this standard through leading by example and treating all people with dignity, respect and kindness.
As for the Class of 2022, welcome to your final year of secondary education! This will certainly be a confronting and memorable year for us all.
We must maintain a balance between studies and personal interests. Set goals for yourself this year. They don’t need to be too drastic, but they should inspire you to succeed.
With the workload increasing for us all this year, whether it be through ATAR pathways, TAFE or VET courses, Uni or General Pathways, every single one of us needs to make sure we establish good study and work habits. The only person who will determine your success is you!
We would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the Class of 2021. These students are to be commended for their determination and excellence throughout another difficult year last year and we congratulate them for all their achievements and hard work.
In particular, we commend the 7 students who received an ATAR score of 99+! Congratulations! We wish the entire 2021 cohort the best for the future that lies ahead for them!
To all other students, every new year holds new adventures but also new challenges. We encourage all students to seek help if needed and to utilise all the resources the College has to offer.
Though it is important to focus on your academic endeavours, we urge you to consider your other needs - physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
We also motivate all students to get involved in the wide array of extra-curricular activities the College has to offer and encourage students to take advantage of the opportunities before them. To browse some of these possible activities, check out the link here.
On behalf of the students of ̨ž³UUApp we would also like to acknowledge the staff. We thank you for your guidance and thank you in advance for everything you will do for the College and for us, the students this year.
We are beyond excited and can’t wait to see the K-12 College come to life and to see where this year takes us all individually and as a College community.
We leave you with these words - Stay positive, work hard, make it happen.
We look forward to the year ahead of us and anticipate setting a standard for our new K-12 College!
Thank you for your time, and all the best for the year ahead!
