Year 12’s

TISC Visit to College in Week 3- 30th July

Pastoral Period Presentation will involve the university application process, ordering preferences, converting raw TEA score to ATAR rank, timelines for application submission, final dates for changes to preferences, dates for first and second round offers etc.

Year 12 Individual Transition Meetings

All Year 12 students will be allocated a 30 minute meeting time to discuss individual applications related to university, TAFE, private education  providers, ADF, Apprenticeships, Traineeships, Employment, Gap year etc. Meetings to take place from Week 4 onwards. You will be sent an email with your appointment time closer to this time.

 

UWA- TISC Presentation Evening

This session is designed to help Year 12 students make the most of their ATAR score to help them get into their preferred course at UWA. Topics covered include::

  • The TISC university application and offer process.
  • Tips on structuring your preferences
  • Entry requirements
  • How to apply for Direct Pathways into postgraduate courses
  • Important dates for Year 12 students

Notre Dame University Fremantle- Early Offer Applications

Due 31st July 2018
Successful Early Offer applicants will be notified in late September. Applicants who do not receive an Early Offer are not required to resubmit their application, as they will be automatically considered for the next Offer round.

Notre Dame University Fremantle- Pathways to Undergraduate Study

Students who are not completing an ATAR pathway, or wish to have a back up plan, can apply for the  (TPP). The TPP is completed in one semester and covers all the basic academic skills required for uni. Students who successfully complete the TPP are eligible to apply for any Notre Dame degrees with a minimum ATAR of 70. (This excludes the Bachelor of Education (Secondary), Bachelor of Health & Physical Education (Secondary), Bachelor of Education double degrees, Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Physiotherapy. There are other possible pathways to these degrees, and we encourage interested students to contact the Prospective Students Office to discuss the best option for them.)

Focus on Mining Camps- Curtin University

Year 10 Female camp: September 23-28
Year 11/12 Mixed Camp: 2/12/2018
The 5-day Focus on Mining camps showcases multiple STEM areas associated with mining field and is provided free of charge by the WA School of Mines and industry partners. During the camps students visit mine sites, network with industry and learn first-hand the range of careers involved in the geosciences.

A growing range of courses can be completed entirely online and at the student’s own pace, meaning reduced travel costs, time and the flexibility to combine work and study.
A number of our online courses are AMSA-approved, which means they can qualify successful participants to undertake specific roles or duties on vessels in Australia.
