̨UUApp
Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 from 2022
̨UUApp (Year 7-12) is amalgamating with neighbouring Yidarra Catholic Primary School to offer a co-educational learning experience from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 from 2022. The amalgamated school will be called ̨UUApp.
The joining of the primary and secondary schools, located in the southern suburb of Bateman, is an exciting opportunity for families interested in a well-rounded Pre-Kindergarten to Year12 education for their children. At ̨UUApp, students benefit from individualised learning experiences that cater for their spiritual, academic, physical and emotional wellbeing.
Features of the Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 College include:
Catholic religious education and sacramental programs
State-of-the-art facilities, including a new theatre and semi-enclosed Aquatic Centre
Apple Distinguished School status
iPad learning from Year 3
Exceptional pastoral care program
Gifted and talented programs
50+ clubs and extra-curricular activities
Inter-school sports teams
ATAR and General (VET) pathways
The amalgamation aims to benefit from the established strengths of both schools and a personal and professional link with the St Thomas More parish in Bateman.
“Both schools that currently exist are impressive – their vision, their operations and their outcomes are notable”, said incoming Principal Mr Jeff Allen. “I am excited to combine these great schools and cannot wait to see our shared vision come to fruition”.
“It’s a pivotal moment in the history of ̨UUApp. We are going to be big, but we are also going to be great”.
Guided by Catholic principles, both schools value the individual child and understand that providing a learning environment that fosters spiritual and personal growth is just as important as intellectual growth.
As a K-12 College, educational programs will continue to be available for gifted and talented students in a range of fields, as well as individualised support for students with disabilities or learning difficulties.
Students are offered the opportunity to connect with their peers, explore new interests and fine-tune their skills in the many sporting, performing arts, academic extension or Christian service extra-curricular activities on offer. The skills and knowledge gained from such pursuits ensure that students are able to meet the challenges of society with confidence.
In response to the needs of students in today’s rapidly changing world, ̨UUApp equips students to be life-long learners and global citizens, technologically savvy and able to meet life’s challenges.
With increasing demand for places, ̨UUApp encourages prospective families to apply well in advance of their entry year to avoid disappointment.
