Senior School Interhouse Athletics Carnival

  • ̨ž³UUApp 50 Murdoch Drive Bateman, WA, 6150 Australia

The Senior School Interhouse Athletics Carnival is on Friday, 9th August.

The carnival is an excellent opportunity for students to participate with enthusiasm, show pride for their House, and appreciate the excellence of the top athletes at the College. Let’s make it a day of Courage, Compassion, and Commitment!

Expectations for the Carnival:

  • Attendance is compulsory.

  • All events achieve points for your House – so ensure every event is filled.

Uniform:

  • College sports uniform with House shirt and running shoes (not vans or similar street/skate shoes).

  • College cap.

  • Pre-Carnival Events – Competitors nominated for these events can wear their tracksuit over House Uniform on the day of their Pre-Carnival Event.

Food & Drink:

  • Have a sensible breakfast on carnival day.

  • Bring your own large water bottle clearly marked with your name (No glass bottles, please).

  • All students will need to bring their own recess as the cafeteria will be closed.

  • The cafeteria will be closed to all students from 8:30 am – 3:15 pm. Students can order their lunch on Flexischools, but orders will close at 12:30 pm the day before. Lunches will be delivered to the House bays.

Medical:

  • Please ensure medical information and emergency details are up to date.

  • If medication is required to be taken during the day (including asthma inhaler), please advise your Homeroom teacher and have these handy in your sports bag in the house bay area. If students have medication stored at student services, they can access student services and take medication as normal during the day.

Attendance & Participation:

  • Attendance at the carnival is compulsory, and all students must participate in either the major or minor carnival. Any non-attendance or non-participation requires a letter to the House Community Coordinator prior to the event. Non-participants are expected to help run the carnival on the day. Participation in Inter-house events is part of the graduation expectations of Senior School students, and absences are not tolerated.

  • Please participate to the best of your ability, have fun, and ensure all actions are ‘FOR THE TEAM’ and ‘Outstanding for Others’.

Let’s make this carnival a memorable one by showing our Courage, Compassion, and Commitment!
